Release History

The HIPAA legislation requires you to keep a log of the PHI (Protected Health Information) you released for each patient, the date it was released and to whom it was released. patientNOW keeps the log for you when you use the Release of Information functionality.

Navigate to Patients | Release of Information, Release History. This tab displays each release in the Release Package window at the top.

When you left-click on a release in the Release Package window, the document(s) included in that release are listed below, and you may highlight a document and select View Document.

In addition, you may print this release history when requested.
